Default The End Of The Innocence, Don Henley 1989

"The End of the Innocence" is the lead single and title track from Don Henley's third solo studio album of the same name, released in 1989. Henley co-wrote and co-produced the song with Bruce Hornsby, who also performed piano.

This song is dedicated to the truth. For 2023, my wish is that all peoples be granted the wisdom and the understanding to hear, see and discern the truth.

May Peace, Hope and Understanding prevail in the hearts of all peoples!!!
Love is the Greatest!!!

Yes!!!! This is one my favorite songs. I actually saw Bruce play at a small theater in my hometown last month. He didn't play this song though

You did that justice! Thanks for sharing!

Well, Rene, I’d say the world is better off with this cover by you in it. I love where you took this song.

Rene, this is a great version of my favorite Don Henley tune. I really like the laid back way you arranged it.

Evan, also a very nice cover.

I am reminded of a cover that noledog posted several years ago from one of his live shows. Worth checking out if you are a fan of the song.

Bravo to all!

Hi Evan,
Impressive collection of guitars, I am in awe!
The piano accompaniment is excellent, and your version is very enjoyable.
You definitely made this song your own, and I am loving it.
Thank you for sharing this rendition.

Thanks! Appreciate you listening. Yeah, piano is my first instrument, and we were lucky enough to have my parents ship us the Baby Grand I learned on as a kid to our house.

Wasn't aware of this song Rene, but how lovely! I love the sentiment too. The World would be a much better place if we all accepted the truth sometimes! Although I am listening on my Mac laptop with far from stellar speakers the reverb you have used sounds amazing. Beautiful voice, as always
