Default 1939 Recording King Model K Jumbo - Gibson made - price reduced

This catalogue guitar was made by Gibson for Montgomery Wards in 1939. About 15-20 years ago it was professionally X-rebraced. It's a 16" Carson Robison jumbo, not the more common L-00 size. Basically it was the precursor to the J-185 as it's the same shape and size. This guitar is in fine shape, with full sadddle height and action at about 6/64. Has decent period hard case (probably not original) and a K&K bridgeplate pickup. Has a couple of well repaired top cracks and for some reason the logo is very faded. Either somebody was overzealous in cleaning it or more likely it was just poorly stenciled at the factory. Fine playing and great sounding rare guitar. Reduced to $3450
