My brief internet searching suggests that the 'S' is for a solid spruce top, compared to a laminated top on the other one...

The solid top one should sound better, but the difference may be subtle.

Default Laminate vs. Solid Top

The 60-CE has a laminate Spruce top. The 60-SCE has a solid top. The SCE would be the better choice.

I'm might be worth considering if you need an electro acoustic? You'll be paying for features you might not use. There's nothing wrong with the Fender CD 60, my first acoustic was a CD60, I've still got it.

However, I would suggest that there are superior instruments available for similar or slightly more money.
