Definitely has a 9 volt battery that is easy to access. I measured the nut at 45mm.

It's funny reading this because I think the guy I bought mine from has a Martin 00-15m that he plays now. I keep mediums on mine and keep it tuned down half a step so it makes it even easier to play. I'm sure lights would be completely effortless.

I did a short sound clip after I bought mine a few months ago. Here is the post I made. I'm not a professional by any means so the recording isn't perfect. I messed up some.

I have owned this model. It is indeed a great bluegrass guitar with tons of volume and tone.

I think Takamine describes them as "canons" due to volume. I love the tone on this guitar, as well.
