Arrow *SOLD* Urlacher Modern Dreadnought (Mod D) - Ebony / Lutz Spruce $SOLD

Hi everyone,

Guitar has sold.

A stellar Modern Dreadnought by Rebecca Urlacher.

Updated sound clips in both Standard tuning and DADGAD in next post.

Although this is a dreadnought in name, it is Rebecca's take on the body size -- with progressive body curves, a tighter waist, and slightly shallower depth. These greatly reduce the playing position height when held on your lap, and improves the reach to the strings. Easier on the shoulders. All in all, the Mod D far more comfortable to play than any classic dreadnought I have held, and I share the dimensions below.

In the sound clips below, I arpeggiate chords, then strum them -- both in Standard tuning and in DADGAD. The sustain will be apparent, as will the clean, clear bass notes that this guitar produces, and the astonishing balance that is no doubt a produce of the builder and the New Guinea Striped Ebony. Absolutely no pushed frequencies, or scoop, in this guitar. Extraordinary.

The New Guinea Ebony provide a deep, full tone, with superb string balance and clarity, plus touches of mystery and darkness. The Lutz Spruce top has beautiful figure and lends a warmth and capability for overtones that are immersive.

Rebecca's wait list is into the 3+ year territory, and this build would spec out to $9,000+.

I am asking: $SOLD.

This is designed for comfortable finger style in mind, with wider than typical nut width. Those who appreciate fine craftsmanship will notice the precise miters, book match, and details throughout. Full body binding (ebony), as well as fingerboard binding (rosewood). Striped ebony head plate to match the body.

Specs:
  • New Guinea Striped Ebony
  • Lutz Spruce
  • Waverly open gear tuning machines
  • 25.4" scale
  • 1.78" nut
  • 2.2" string spacing (bridge)
  • tasteful pewter strap button (not pictured) on neck heel
  • Visenut hardshell case

For additional details, please PM.

For those in the Seattle / Pac Northwest area, contact me to arrange an audition if needed.

Thank you for your consideration,

-a.h.

Default Thank you to respondents

If you have interest in this guitar, please contact me, as I have a solid outside consignment offer, and am motivated to sell, at which time this guitar would be offered at over $1,000 higher than my current ask price here within the AGF.
