Default Finally over 40% RH and letting the boys out...

A storm in SoCal has taken the humidity out of the 30's and we're celebrating.

Here are my two Nobles soaking it in.

Welcome to the Acoustic Guitar Forum.

Nice looking guitars. I am not familiar with Noble guitars. How do they sound?

Not sure of your signature's intent but I always - always - subordinate the tools to the music and not the other way around. And, there's not a guitar I would not play a John Denver song with.

Welcome to the forum.

Does this mean that because the humidity was in the 30s, you didn't play your guitars?

The concert is very harmonic; almost harp like. I play it fingerstyle and it is sweet.
The dreadnaught is a bright guitar and gets heard in a group. I just love the action on it and mostly hammer it hard with a flatpick.

Naw, I've been playing them. I've just not let the cases open since winter began.

welcome to the forum Twhitehead,

it's been very simmilar here but it was way dryer. Fortunately it only lasted for a week and I kept em safe in a small humidified room. Took em out two days ago and now humidity is close to 60. All my guitars sound terrible, so they're back into their cases again. I'm restringing my Ibanez laminate b/s beater and hope it'll sound decent untill humidity starts dropping again. The weather is going crazy here that's for sure, but it should start balancing out soon.

I was in LA for work a couple of weeks in Dec, during the fires and extremely low humidity. Indoor humidity usually stays around 45% where I live, so I took a guitar with me and wasn't aware of how low it was in So Cal till I got there. Found a guitar center in a hurry to grab a humidipak!

You would have to refer to an anatomy text book for the answer to that.

Not sure what your point is about Annie's song but you have 2 very nice guitars that will make that song sound wonderful. Best of both worlds.

Grrrrr.

In NYC it's hovering around 35 degrees and the radiators are on again. That means sub-25% in the apartment.

My poor guitar will still be living in its case with the humidifiers for a few more weeks.

You are lucky! And not just for the humidity -- those are two beautiful guitars!!!
