I'm not much for covers myself, but this one I know 2 versions of, one flatpicked capoed at the 7th fret, one fingerpicked in open position in drop D tuning. Just makes me feel good to play it. I've always thought it's the perfect musical version of onomatopoeia. Makes me feel like the title suggests.

Anyway to pass on a chord listing for either version?

this looks pretty close to what I do flatpicking:
http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/b/be...he_sun_crd.htm chords are written down underneath. capo VII is where the Beatles do it, but you can do it anywhere and it sounds good to me. |

no problemo, TP. I was just taking a closer look at this tab and I find myself using some combination of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th strings for fills when there is room, like in between quarter notes so that I am playing something on each eighth note. I'm probably explaining that badly, but this version seems a little empty to me just as is.
Also, right at the beginning, I hit an open D string before I hit the chord. I think that sounds pretty good. Good Luck! |
