Pickaso Guitar bow for acoustic guitars
My name is Jonathan and I'm the Founder of the Pickaso Guitar bow.
An Innovative Guitar Bow that allows you to bow your Acoustic guitar, in a creative and magical way. you can see the demo brief here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZ8fBhRmuBA&t=29s Why We made it? Inspired By The legendary Guitarist - Jimmy page, Who use to play with a bow, on his electric guitar. I really like that, it was pure magic. I used to play with a regular bow on my electric and acoustic guitar. And really liked the combination of the acoustic and the bow. It was my favorite. The problem? It was impossible to play the inner strings, and I wanted to have more possibilities, Rather than just having the option to play all the strings or only the E’s. I thought a lot about how can I solve this issue, and I came up with the Idea to use the sound-hole as the solution. So... We took the regular bow and squeezed it into a 6 inch Bow, Double sided hair with tension mechanism built in. Super slim. And we called it - Pickaso Guitar bow. When I played with it on the guitar for the first time, it was pure magic. It opened up for me a whole world of new sound and possibilities of the guitar. And now you can have it too. Now you can play on any string- Individually, on one string, Or two strings together. it has a pick also. I would love to hear your thoughts here in the acoustic forum. What do you think about the technique and the bow itself ? AMA |

I've had an EBow around for years, never got the hang of it. This looks like it would give a little more hands-on control rather than relying on electronics. Maybe try getting a booth at NAMM? Good luck!

Looks very intriguing. My impression was that it would be far more usable (for me) while playing with someone else vs. playing solo.
I also like that (unlike the eBow) it actually gives some bow noise, adding greatly to the sound possibilities.

I think I prefer the OP's idea.

Looks great...
I just bought one on first sight. It will make a fine Christmas gift for my daughter, who's gone from violin to guitar.
