Nothing worse than an inaccurate tuner that you can't break.
Definitely. A bandmate has one she REFUSES to replace. Thus, she is always exactly the same amount out of tune. Permanently. Obstinately. Confidently. OUT. OF. TUNE.

I've had one of the same ones and in the 4 years or so I've had it ,it's been great. Doesn't go through batteries as some have complained, hasn't snapped and is reasonably accurate.
I use the thing virtually every day and have no complaints.

All mine have built in tuners. Only way to go IMHO.

Liking mine too. Just bought a second one.

I tried them and gave both away after a few days. The 'clasp' of the D'Addario Micro is not what I want on my guitars, and with 72 yr old hands, hard to remove from headstocks.

I have zero issues with the TC Electronics or Peterson clip tuners…and from day one I've run the displays behind the headstock where I can see them, not out-front where audiences can see them.

They make a regular clip on style as well. I hate those huge snarks sticking out like sore thumbs on headstocks. Ugly. The NS micro is stealthy. The newest version has a great, bright, color screen too.

And like many others, swears it’s in tune I’m sure.

I gave my playing partner a Peterson Strobe tuner I was retiring to remedy the problem you suffer with. When it finally failed he was so spoiled by an in tune guitar, that he bought one himself. Miracles do happen. Stay strong.

I was so impressed with ST-8 when it first came out I bought several. Noticed two things 1) They EAT CR2032 batteries. 2) Not as accurate as I thought at first

I found a tuner that doesn’t require batteries, has no pivots to break and it doesn’t have to sit on the headstock.

J/K, I use a cheap snark. 😁😁😁

Another one that pre-dates modern clip-on tuners. No batteries and it doesn’t clip to the guitar. But, you have have to make contact with the guitar body. Or, your head.

Also, there’s a secret compartment compartment beneath the nameplate for storing secret “stuff”.

When I first started playing some 50 years ago, there wasn’t much out there to help you tune a guitar, just your ears. Electronic tuners were the best thing ever when they came along.

Last one, I promise.

Probably the first electronic tuner I saw. They used to be in most music stores back in the day.

PS I don’t collect tuners per se, just music/guitar memorabilia. In 50 years I’ve built up quite a collection.

Yup. She thinks all three of us others are out of tune (by exactly the same amount).

BTW - we love her. . . our lead singer. She's a very good performer with a long track record of helping and contributing to others whenever she sees the need. We are happy to report that she often gets carried away and forgets to play, thus making the whole band perfectly in tune

That doesn't go double for 12-string guitar owners - more like 10x!

My daughter has a Snark for her ukulele and I've used them over the years in shops where it's the only option. For the price, I guess they appeal to some people, but to me they are just a step above throw away junk. I'd rather spend the money once for a tuner that is accurate. I like the idea of buying things that are made to last many, many years.
