Default LR Baggs Element installation question

Hi,

Maybe I too curious, but I'm wondering if there is any difference which side of the pickup element itself is on top?
There is small black dot at the end of one of the sides but installation manual does not say if there is one proper way of mount it.
Any ideas?

Regards,
Marek

I've installed quite a few and never even considered it.

I'd check with Baggs on their forum but I don't think there's a difference. The old Baggs Ribbon Transducer had different properties based on which way you installed it but I think the Element is a pretty flexible and uncomplicated install. When you consider that, before the Element, the Baggs piezos were the LB6 (which replaces your saddle, requires more intensive install) and the Ribbon (super low output, feedback prone), it was a sensible "next gen" replacement. I'm sure there are plenty who prefer the LB6 (myself) or Ribbon to the Element but if the goal is to make a quality UST that can be easily installed in a guitar or sold as stock pickup in production guitars, the Element succeeded at that.
