Default Digital amplifier

I did a search and found nothing discussing this idea. I assume it is out there so here goes.
It seemed a lot of space is given to the idea that certain pick-ups and amps will come “closer” to the true sound of the guitar. But no one seems to feel that amplified sound is ever exactly the same as the acoustic sound.
If they can make a digital keyboard sound like so many different instruments, why not a digital pickup to computer to amplifier system that could be fine tuned to the sound you are hoping for?
I am expecting that this is where you guys stop me and tell me about some system, maybe the acoustasonic, which I do not know much about. If not, let me expand the thought.
So here is my wish/fantasy. A sound hole pick-up that runs to a computer and then to an amp. The program would let you pick not just electric guitar or acoustic or classical, but even the brand and model.
I could grab my generic guitar and pop in my “sound hole magic” pick-up that runs a usb straight into my laptop. I could then decide that today I want to play a D-18 sound. Tomorrow a classical. Monday a J-45. I could ask the program to give me spruce top or mahogany. Back and sides rosewood, or hog, or maple. The combinations could be endless and fairly close to the sound of said guitar. I know each guitar’s sound is different from each sample of the same guitar model, but we could hear the differences to some extent.
So total fantasy or already at the store? Tell me.
Thanks
Whvick

It’s been tried, and there are some systems out there.

ToneDexter
DTAR Mama Bear
Fishman Aura

They’ll all do what you want to some extent.

I just watch a YouTube review and that is pretty close to my fantasy pick up.
What caught my attention is how this guy palms his pick to go to finger style. Do /can many of you guys do this?

Yes, I've heard it called hybrid picking. It's pretty effective on electric as well.

The Fishman Aura won't really do what you want but different Aura Images may help your guitar sound better than the Aura Image(s) that target the actual model and woods of your guitar. It's kind of a crap-shoot but when you find the right Aura Image, it can amplify your guitar to a pleasing sonic result.

Default Digital amplifier

Just read review of D-Tar mama bear. It sounds even closer to what I imagined.
And this image bank for nylon looks cool on the Fishman

My flatpick is my right hand index fingernail, reinforced with plastic Krazy-glued underneath the nail and Swiss silk glued on top of it. So I never drop a pick, and easily alternate between Fingerstyle and flat picking.

To do it properly. I think you would
need a sensor under each fret under each string. that is why electric keyboards work better. 88 notes.
not frequency dependant.

I use a long thumb nail and it woks ok, but he is using a flat pick. You can see the color of it in one frame. I just can’t imagine how he palms it when he finger picks, but he does.

That makes sense, but computers are amazing at extrapolating data. In one demo, the guy did play all over the neck to let it gather data.

+1 for the DTAR Mama Bear Pre amp - it can help out a lot of different model guitars. Had one since the late 90's.

This is a couple of years old now, but I have no doubt there are mor eupdates that have been included. I imagine the options are near limitless.
