Skype lesson 1st timer - advice?
Tomorrow morning, I'll have my regular weekly lesson with my teacher. Because of the current unpleasantness, we're doing it by Skype. This will be my first time doing a guitar lesson with anyone by Skype. Anyone have any advice, or gotchas to look out for, or suggested preparations to make beforehand? I can't think of anything that I should do differently; but I don't know what I don't know.

If you've not used skype before, I suggest a test skype call with friends so you can get used to it.

I’ve been doing Skype lessons with my teacher in Oregon from my home in Covington, LA for over three years. We actually use FaceTime and what I do is plug my iPad into a 32” monitor so my teacher is bigger than life. The only downside to FaceTime/Skype is there is a short time lag that does not allow you both to play together (it will sound like it has echos). We can use Skype also but FaceTime is quite easy.
Other than that, I believe you will find it is much like a normal lesson. Great tool for the circumstances to keep teachers teaching and students learning.

Skype and FaceTime are both very easy to use. I’ve also been taking Skype lessons a few years, and, am thinking about giving lessons via Skype myself.
