Default Studio Survivors, March 2016

This month I've taken on one of the most ubiquitous items at major recording studios and broadcast facilities. Don't recognize it? Don't be surprised. Intrigued? Shuffle on over HERE to find out more.

I love my Auratones!
Unfortunately, some termites liked them a bit too and customised one of them...

That pile in the article contains several that are about the same age but look at the condition!

The pair at the bottom is nearly pristine. The wedges are in very good condition. The pair represented by the top left one are scraped, bruised, dog-eared, and missing their foam grilles. But they still work! Of the ten pairs we owned, one (1) speaker failed after being flogged too hard. We replaced the driver and it is still working along with the rest.
