Start with Chordie.com to get the chords/lyrics; go from there to give it your own interpretation.

I learned Hotel California as it was and still is one of my favs of all time
although i strum the song with the chords i learnt my own intro i pick which was by chance and accident really and which sounded right on track and is a cool wee intro for that song and im proud to say i learnt this intro without any help at all and was by chance and with errors inbetween until i got it down and not once have i taken any Guitar lesson Meantime i had got the lyrics + chords from Chordie.com which also is a good help and is a good site for such |

The chords are easy and can be found anywhere:
Verse: Bm, F#, A, E, G, D, Em, F# Chorus: G, D, Em, F# If you just pluck individual strings of each chord, you can sort of figure out the vocal melody too after experimenting.

I am like Budsy right now. Ihave an ontro I play, but I strum the chords when I am singing. I want to work out a more fingerpicking version when I sing, but it is slow going.
