yes, there seems to be an incredible tone to his guitars. And, the prices of his used guitars have gone up considerably over the past couple of years. And a great player to boot!

thanks a bunch for your comments.

Might have to take a trip to Manitoba (trust me, no one says that....) to visit Jordan.
I know, it's to die for, isn't it. I'm two weeks away, but then....can it be shipped?

We'll see.

Kidding aside, one day I should give him a call and ask if he didn't mind an amateur builder come snooping around and talk about wood. Just realized I used to live a five minute walk from his house.
He's a very down to earth person, that's for sure.

Go for it.

Here's the only picture I have right now of the bevel. The bevel is a little dark to see clearly.

It's so close to having a voice that I can almost hear it!

And it's getting very real.

I think this guitar will be very inspirational from a song writing perspective. Kudos once again to Jimmi Wingert. Her work in combination with Jordan's absolute gift when it comes to his signature tone has me dying to take it for a test run.

This will be my first Fanfret.

We decided to keep the rosette very clean, and match the unusual turquoise colour of the inlay.

Next step is the strings.

Can't wait to hear it.

Thanks Nashmore.

I think this SJ has a streamlined look. The moon spruce is quite a pale colour, which provides a clean and simple contrast to the elegant but busy inlay.

all the best,

Thanks Zackl.

It would be great to post a clip for sure. Might take a little time to get organized however. But I look forward to it!

thanks so much. I was in Washington recently, which is your place of residence I believe. Nice city. Yes, the videos certainly help understand where Jordan's trying to go from a tone perspective. I'm comfortable with the direction! And given it's winter and there is always a little risk, I can't wait until it gets here looking just the way it does now!

best,

Default Jordan's Guitar finally arrived

It was exciting. Just as memorable as it should be. We had to wait until the temperature rose to about zero.

First some more pictures, then a review, then I will post a SOUND FILE.

Here's the back side on my porch as temperatures rose, with a 34 Gibson Nick Lucas Special Maple back flanking on the right, and a Kim Walker flanking on the left.

And next, a front shot, very challenging to take as the moon spruce is an extremely pale colour. You can almost see a little bear claw on lower right and left.
