Who has been the best James Bond?

As I said in the other thread, Sean Connery was the first James Bond I ever saw and will remain the quintessential James Bond in my estimation. Connery is in a class of his own. There's been a couple good ones...but my choice (for the modern era)is Daniel Craig.

I just remembered the unofficial spoof film of Casino Royale that had David Niven as a retired Bond and Peter Sellers as an imposter. We saw the film again a couple of years ago. It wasn’t good...

Then there is the original Casino Royale, black and white with American Barry Nelson as Bond...

Agreed 100%. Connery was perfect for titillating 1960’s Bond. As film changed, Craig is the guy for hardcore, action oriented, sensitive, thoughtful Bond.
