Default Martin Geoff Muldaur OO18..Anyone familiar with this?

I have the opportunity to trade for one of these Martins. There is very little info about them. Any body here got any experience with this model? Thanks!

I’ve never played one. But they are modeled after his main guitar which was built out of parts meant for a Hawaiian (like a Smeck) but with a traditional neck.

Check out his work—YouTube has some of his live stuff.

He’s a brilliant fingserstyle guitarist.

I had one. They're really nice guitars. Think ceo7 but 12 fret so you get that extra sound on the low end and are fuller sounding in general.

A few years ago I played his personal one. It was a nice guitar. If you like smaller body 12 fret guitars, you won't be disappointed.

I owned one for a bit. Never could adjust to the wider nut width (1 13/16") but man it sounded good. Surprisingly good low end for a 00 size guitar, and to steal a term from UncleJesse, just sounded very full. Great guitars.

Thank you for the replies. I have been into Geoff Muldaur since the Kweskin Jug Band days. A favorite. I also am quite fond of OO size bodies and wide necks. I have a 1970 OO21 and it has become a favorite. I seem to becoming mostly acoustic after 60 years of playing. The little guys suit me.

Just my .02, but I’d get it.
