I was pleasantly surprised to get a few pics from Tony yesterday.
It has not been certain these would be ready in time for BIG, but now I'm more hopeful. First is the curly mahogany 00, trimmed out in more curly mahogany, and Shazaamazon rosewood:

Also, our first 12-fret 000, in Indian rosewood and Bear Claw Spruce:

Fingers are still crossed, as these are possible party participants.

Smile Shazzaamazon....

Shazzaamazon Rosewood sounds very MAGICAL.

very nice guitars coming here! I wager you will LOVE the 000 12 fret. I sure loved John's! Now Beth is its super happy owner.

It will be wonderful to meet you both, and all the fine AGF folks, with or without these guitars.

But we all hope the guitars make it too!

Cheers

Paul

I know we're all getting excited for this event as it keeps getting closer to reality!

And it's been great to see all the guitars that these talented luthiers are bringing with them!

I'm really hoping the Cigarfan's Kostal is ready in time to make the trip. Do you know if Jason plans on bringing any other guitars with him?

Hey Tom, you don't mind if I take a little poll here of who will be bringing along their personal guitar(s), do you? I plan on bringing my two Kinnairds (not that there won't be plenty of Kinnairds around to play!) since some folks have expressed interest in seeing them, and I'll bring my big Allison since it's my reference guitar - the one that I've been playing the longest. I'll be happy to let anyone interested play them, if they have time, but I promise I won't try to sell them during the event. (I won't promise that they won't go up for sale shortly afterwards - we'll see how badly your luthiers tempt me.)

Also, my offer still stands to show anyone interested some local birding hot spots (Friday morning in Austin) and/or do a little Austin guitar shop crawl on Friday afternoon.

Yes, I am almost positive he is bringing more with him.

No problem at all, bring it on. ALSO if anyone wants to ship guitars to the event (I have had a couple of guests request this along with the luthiers of course), that is fine too. Just email me or PM me and we can set that up.

We might have to start thread 2 soon as this one is approaching 300 posts with is the forum software limit.

So far we have folks coming from Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Maryland, New York, Nevada, California, Arizona, Alabama, Texas, and Illinois. I thought we had New Jersey, but he must have changed his mind. AND not to forget England, thanks Michael!!!

I think Stan wanted to survey how many guitars were coming and what they might be though.

Hey, if you see anything bad about Woodstock, I didn't mean it LOL!!!! You let me in early one year to talk to Steve Kinnaird and I always appreciated that!

If you have any desire to come, you just let me know and we will find the room. You are guitar festival royalty!!!

We are incredibly excited, Tom! I showed Samantha some videos of Michael Watts, she's thrilled she's going to meet him. I already can't thank you enough for this whole experience.
