Talking Really Ugly Pickguard

What is the single ugliest acoustic guitar pickguard you have ever seen? Set aside your opinions on the practical value of pickguards or their impact on a guitar's tone...just address what your eyes tell you. Lets avoid brand bashing and just have fun with it and allow each other our subjective opinions! There have been some real 'innovative' pickguard designs over the years so post a photo and stay well

I’d avoid this pickguard on any guitar. On a Martin it’s just... sad. Luckily I think they moved to the traditional Martin style not long after these came out.

Strangely, the ostentatious pickguards on the big jumbo-sized Gibsons don’t bother me as much as they would on any other guitar.

Hey, is that a toilet there, just below the exploding Death Star? [turns picture 90 degrees so headstock is at right]. Yes! Yes, it is. Huh.

I think you're on to something.
Those peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwiches Elvis loved may have created an exploding Death Star just above his toilet.

First of all, I think pickguards detract from the look of most guitars except maybe Gibsons with the signature guards for some of their models.

The ugliest to me is the stock Yamaha guards like on the FG models. These are great guitars but something about that skinny little tail just screams cheap import to me.

That 'skinny little tail' instantly says Yamaha to me.

Think about it.
