That last shot is a beaut. I really miss being able to dumpster dive correction wedges from resawing tops to use as brace stock.

I am indeed quite excited about the bracewood!

Gklong chose this piece of shell for the headstock Logo.

Sadly, perhaps, I put the better piece on the back.

With porefiller and sealer the spalting has moved into the background. I believe this kind of "Character" becomes increasingly central to the beauty as time passes.

Tortoise figured “Tree” with spalting, that is some wonderful wood you have there!

That's how I see it. Thank you for saying so.

I have got the Tree OMish up to where I will put varnish on it. Since I need 8 to 10 consecutive days for the process, I will wait till I return from B.I.G. next week before I start. Here is the body with porefiller and sealer:

Indeed! So looking forward to it.

FYI, the sister guitar of this last one has already arrived at the B'sox residence. It is a Martinesque 00 rather than an OM.

Here's its back, flitch matched to the current build:

I am nearly up to strings on Jmat's 000. Yesterday I let himn know that is he had no druthers, I'd use my bird motif on this one. He resonded that that was fine, but he thinks of the Rose as his "symbol". Kind of short notice, but I have a shell I bought in a shell shop 45 years ago which is a pink MOP, so I did this:
