Since Ryan is taking a couple well-deserved days away from the shop, I'll post a pic for today. This body is almost finished, just lacking a couple of components:

Bearclaw Sitka over Macassar Ebony.

And one more pic--this one requested--of our bridge. And why not shoot four of 'em?
Four bridges, four different species. Can you name them? Correctly?IMG_1809.jpg

It’s kind of hard to see on my iPad but I’ll play ... Top to bottom:
Indian or African Ebony? Its hard to tell but its a beauty!
ABW was my first guess but now that I look at this one on another monitor there is a reddish hue so this one may be Coco?
It's too brown on another monitor to be ABW so Macassar Ebony?
Some sort of RW, perhaps Dalbergia Maratima?

Good guesses, Tim. Only, I'm not as exotic as you give me credit.
First one--correct. Second one- first answer was correct.
Third (maybe the hardest)--um...not quite.
Fourth--wow--think further East.

Thanks for playing along. Did I mention there's a free t-shirt involved in first correct guess?!!!

I knew the second one from inside information and I thought the 3rd was just Indian Rosewood, but that is not too exotic. I really can't tell the 3rd one, the shape is interesting though...

Well thank you, good sir. Inside info or no, you are not thus disqualified.
Maybe I should up the prize? The sound of chirping crickets is deafening...

Interesting design on the fourth one. Is that geared towards the smaller body models (for fingerstyle perhaps)?

Some local fauna...Luna moths live for about a day, so here’s a photo for every day of its life.

That's beautiful, I've only ever seen the caterpillars, never the adult moth

Yes it is. The customer plays Celtic tunes, and hymn arrangements mainly.
She ordered the Spanish Cedar 00 pictured a few pages back. We were aiming for weight reduction in every department, thus the smaller footprint for this bridge, and the so-far-unnamed-species chosen.
Thanks for the kind word.

Steve
