Seagull Guitars
Have you changed the plastic bridge pins for tusq ones? How
did it affect the sound? I'm thinking off changing, but they cost £20 plus ( $25 plus) in the UK.

I changed mine for a bone set of pins. I can't say I noticed a difference. However, putting in a bone saddle did make a difference. It had the effect of blending the strings more when strumming and was just a little mellower than tusq. Whether that's better or not would depend on the sound you want. There's a YouTube video showing the difference between tusq and bone saddles on a Seagull S6 and I had the same change in tone you can hear on that video.

I just put black graph tech tusq pins in my new to me entourage mini jumbo. Did not notice a sound difference but I do like the aesthetics,I don’t care for white pins. This guitar sounds a bit brash so I ordered a bone saddle and bluegrass strings in hopes of mellowing it.

Plastic to Tusq wont change much anything. They are so close in weight.
