Default Really impressed with the quality of the inspired by Gibson line from epiphone

Just picked up this beauty yesterday

The quality on these are really impressive. Just over $1000 (Canadian) . A small set up and some strings and it plays incredible. Anyone try or own one?

I tried one of those recently when I was trying out other guitars. Honestly, I liked it, but I was in the market for a Taylor, but if I wasn't, that is what I would have gotten.

Fair enough, I’m in love with the AD series, I’ll own one some day!

The current production Epiphones, both acoustic and electric, are the best they've been since they were made in Kalamazoo. They've really stepped up their game in the last couple years.

Honestly had no intentions of buying an epiphone but this was the clear winner in this price range

I have the IBG Hummingbird in Aged Cherry Burst but I really like that Natural finish too.

Mine lives next to a 2020 Gibson Custom Shop Historic 1957 SJ-200 and an older 2012 laminate Epiphone EJ-200.

I treated the bridge with Music Nimad F-One conditioner to give it a slightly darker, more polished look.

Swapped the plastic bridge pins for bone, removed the UST ribbon from under the saddle (taped it inside the guitar) made a new bone saddle (aged in tea) and fitted some Martin Titanium strings ... boy it sounds good!

This looks great, I love the stain! And I’m definitely going to change out the plastic pins, strange the cheaped out something that would cost $10

I had a chance to try an 'Inspired By Gibson' Epiphone Hummingbird about 6 months ago at a Guitar Center. It was a really nice guitar, and I thought an exceptional bargain at its price point. If I didn't already own a Gibson Hummingbird, I wouldn't have left the store that day without that Epi. Congrats and enjoy your beautiful new guitar!!

Thanks. Always wanted a hummingbird but the price has gotten a little too far out of reach lately lol so this is a great substitute at a fraction of the price.

Really impressed with the quality of the inspired by Gibson line from epiphone

So am I.

Enough so that I brought home the Epiphone IBG sunburst J-200 after playing it. Great guitar, and even better if you want to talk price-point. But it's still a great guitar without talking price.

I fingerpick all my instruments, using my nails as picks. And I did slap on a new set of my favorite strings (Elixir PB HD Light gauge, .013-.053) right away.

I haven't tried any of the acoustics, but I did try an Epi ES 335 at GC a little while ago. One of these days I'm going to go back and get one of those!

I bought one but with P90's...back in 2015 It was first guitar purchase since I started playing again... Very nice guitar! Cherry Red with a case $425
On my SoundCloud I did the Johnny Cash version of 9in Nails "Hurt" playing the Epiphy..with P90's ..Honestly I didn't know it was distorting until I listened later and it sounded good so I kept it that way
