For Sale: Rockbridge Brazilian RW Dread - SOLD

This 2009 Rockbridge dread is built with Brazilian rosewood back and sides and and an Adirondack spruce top. This is made in the spirit of a D-28 with several custom appointments; it has herringbone purfling and rosette, the headstock, neck and body are all bound in tortoise shell and it has the large soundhole. This excellent Rockbridge example is ready to play right out of the case and needs absolutely nothing.

The nut is 1 11/16" and the string spacing at the bridge is 2 3/16". The soundhole is larger at approximately 4 1/4" in diameter. There is a K&K pickup installed and it does work.

This is easily the best sounding guitar I've ever owned (or played). The tone is sweet and even and it rings like a Brazilian RW dread should. With the Adirondack top there is plenty of headroom if you want to dig in.

This will ship with a Harptone hard shell case. Shipping CONUS only.

Notes on condition:
There is a 5" professionally repaired hairline crack on the back of the guitar. It was secured with small Brazilian rosewood cleats. The repair is outstanding and it in no way affects the tone (or the beauty!) of this fine instrument.

The guitar has several small indentations on the top and evidence of being played consistent with its age.

The neck is straight and the action is medium (4/64ths high e and 5/64ths low e at the 12th). There is no buzzing or fretting.

The frets show minimal wear and have a lot of life. They do not appear to ever have been leveled/crowned.

I own the same Rockbridge model and wood combo from 2006. Natural top and no inlays. It has been the best sounding rosewood guitar I have played.

I normally favor mahogany/red spruce instruments, but at times the Rockbridge is my best sounding guitar period.
