No. If you order a 'standard' guitar - in other words, picking and choosing from the standard range of options - your build time will be exactly the same, regardless of what you choose.

Best way to get one quicker is to buy from Emerald's stock, if you can find one that matches your specs.

I didn't want to pay for a pickup I'd never use, so my first X20 was a standard order. There was nothing in stock at the time I was prepared to spend the extra money on. Same with the X20-7 - nothing in stock without veneer or pickups - so, again, a standard order with a 4-month wait time.
