That's a wonderful sounding and looking guitar and great playing! Just curious what does the guitar sound like not plugged in?

enjoy,

Debbie

It reminds me a lot of my Gibson J 45 custom. The customs have rosewood back and sides.
To me it has a mellow tone but very good note separation if that makes any sense.

Excellent Performance! Your X20 has the LR Baggs Element Active in it, correct? If so, it sounds darn good. What do you think the recorded blend of the Element Active to the external mic is?

Thank you very much. I am running to guitar through a tea Rex acoustic soulmate. I would guess it’s probably 70-30 In favor of the pick up.

Thanks, and it really does sound mighty fine!

I had to do a bit of massaging of my X20's saddle's bottom and the saddle slot's bottom to help alleviate a string imbalance output in my X20 as received from the factory. I still have to go back in and do a little more. In this Forum, several years ago, I remarked to Emerald when they announced that they had reached a partnering agreement with LR Baggs to install their Element-based systems in the guitars that I wished they had also decided to offer the Fishman Matrix-based systems as an option. I've found that the Fishman Matrix-based systems install with a better string-to-string balanced output compared to the Element-based systems. The Element-based systems do sound good once the string imbalances are taken care of.

I agree and I think I may have to do that at some point as well but I’m going to do a couple of gigs with it before I make any adjustments.

Here’s a simple video of the new X20.
That was an excellent showing of your new X20.
