From Donegal to Charlottesville in Record Time - aka NGD 6/5/20
I know I shouldn't do this, but I've been waiting very patiently since I ordered my Black Limba X30 in January, and I'm getting pretty excited about getting this guitar now that I've seen it. So here's the first installment of its travels from Ireland to Charlottesville, VA....

man, that’s beautiful ... really like the satin finish on that veneer!

You "should" do this because it is an interesting story line and in the Custom Guitars sub-forum, people do it all the time. It seems to me that your Emerald (well, most any Emerald) is really a custom build. Anyway, congrats on one fine guitar coming your way. Tony

Thanks Staci & Tony. I started this thread primarily to let others know how Emerald's new shipping via UPS works out. Prior to this they used USPS and Irish postal (I think). One of my Emeralds took about 1 1/2 weeks, and the other got bogged down in US Customs for several weeks and I got charged several hundred unexpected dollars in Customs fees. So I'm interested and thought others would be to see how UPS might streamline the delivery process...

Can this be correct or is Kramster pulling one of his practical jokes with his buddies at UPS? If this is correct I sure do like Emerald's new partnership with UPS....
