Default 2012 Martin 000-28 sold

I have two Martins with blackwood back and sides, the other being a 00-14 of the CEO-7 slope shoulder shape. I have decided to sell one and chose this one because it is in better condition mainly. Just like an old car which is worth more to the owner than it will bring if sold, the 00-14 has warts that hinder its resale value.

I favor the “in between” woods like walnut and Australian blackwood. They provide clarity and woodiness but a bit more depth than mahogany. The blackwood on these guitars is visually spectacular similar in appearance to its cousin Koa. Sonically I think blackwood is more like walnut than koa despite its looks.

This guitar is in excellent condition. I purchased it in person about a year ago, and here is the link to the original listing where I found it. It provides additional pictures and another description.

The woods are beautiful with a very light colored tightly grained top and highly figured back and sides. The endpin has not been installed but is in the case.

It has open geared Waverly tuners. Nut width is 1 11/16”. 24.9” scale.

Not interested in trades at this time.
$sold plus shipping.

This is an absolutely beautiful guitar that’s a dream to play.

Pictures to follow.

Man, that's a beauty! Too bad it has a 1 11/16" nut or I might be tempted. Good Luck with your sale - should go pretty quick with that wood combo.

Default more pictures and information link added to the first post

I have added another link to the first post with pictures on Reverb from where I purchased the guitar along with their description. It was a neat shop with a lot of interesting repair and restoration work going on. Fun place to visit.

Man, this looks killer and priced nicely considering the woods used. Also the smaller nut is hard to get.

I see it has a through saddle, and bound marker-less board... it's probably quite far from standard spec. Any change you could get the build sheet?

Default Build sheet

I think it is possible to get it from Martin with the serial number. I will see what I can do.

Thanks for your interest.
