Default String storage

I'm looking for a plastic bin, with dividers and a lid to store 25 or so sets of various strings. Who does this and what do you use?

Thanks
Gas

My guitar room is the spare bedroom. The spare strings just get stacked up in the empty drawer of the dresser. Along with all of the extra picks, guitar cleaning supplies and tools needed for string changes.

Me ! My plastic bin with cover is three packages large in is largest size and each row
count some fifteen to twenty strings sets (I never counted !).
You do not actually need dividers since the packs stand upright.

I use air-tight plastic jars (like nuts come in. They are clear and I can see what is in them. Into that I always put desiccant packs. I often buy in bulk and this helps keep the strings fresh. When I get strings I always put the date on the box, (or on a baggie) so I always uses the oldest first.

I have a longish plastic box, no lid. I should look into getting something better.

I’m about 80% sure that Harbor Freight makes a container that will work.
I’m also sure that if you get an old military ammo box, it will also suit your purpose. I’ve kept my whole guitar string change kit and many sets of strings in one for almost 3 decades.

^This will work as good as anything for packages strings.

I buy bulk loose strings and make my own sets for some of my guitars.
For these strings, I use a PVC tube with end caps.
The strings are put into sets with zip ties.

The sets are placed into the tube and desiccant/humidity packs are placed at both ends of the tube.
The tube is stored flat in my closet.

This has worked for me for over 25 years.

Yep, me too - cheap and cheerful. And it works.

Another shoe box loafer. My strings aren't royalty.

Plastic shoe box with a lid that ‘snaps’ into place. Works well for me.
