Default Bourgeois/Eastman Touchstone OM Ian Meadows

I've always enjoyed Ian Meadows' demo videos. I like the guitars he chooses and appreciate his unshowy musical playing which helps you hear the sound of the instrument.

Anyway, just noticed this one pop up. The Bourgeois/Eastman Touchstone collaboration with an OM.

I really like Ian Meadows reviews. The recording is always good and he just plays the guitar. Man, that OM sounds really good. I'm thinking one of these is going to be on my Radar as soon as I get my E40om-tc paid off.

Thanks for sharing that, I like what I hear and see. As others have said Ian Meadows does a great job with his sound samples. No endless chatter, hype and blah, blah, blah, just straight up playing.

Nice guitar for sure, Eastman (and Bourgeois) knows how to build great guitars.
However the tone is a bit on the bright side for me, like Eastman E40 guitars.

I read that E40 are more lightly build than E20 and, watching youtube vids, E40 are indeed louder with more overtones : having said that, I prefer the tone of E20 because it is dryer and more fundamental (I love my E20D-TC).

If you like Ian's playing style check out the "Meadows Brothers" on YT. He and his brother can sing AND play!

Here they are at MerleFest...

Thanks for sharing! I notice his brother is playing an Eastman E10ss/v in that video. Great looking and sounding guitar.

Really great stuff whether you’re interested in Bourgeois, Eastman or whatever, Jim. Thanks for posting.

Meadows is the great reviewer, no yapping.
The guitar sounded really good. The price will likely be far above what I'd pay for a mostly import, but I'm sure mind's have been changed after playing them.

I really like the song "Trouble" Here's a version with just Ian and an old D-28...that sounds just right!

Ian is a great guy, super genuine and modest, he helped me choose many guitars and always gave me a fair price. He's also a fine player, singer, songwriter and performer. You can find him (and Dan) at The Acoustic Music Store on Reverb or in person in Guilford, CT.
