Default 30 year mistake rectified - part two...

I put up a post about selling the 1897 Washburn the other day and wishing I hadn't!

Well....

Mr Calcutta has agreed to sell me back my old Taylor GC custom 1 7/8.

I sold it right after my Dad passed in an emotional fit.

I had kind of "forgotten" about it until yesterday - it was an amazing little guitar that I had tweaked the heck out of...even bought a case cover for it like my other two steel strings.

This was an instrument that I could play ANYTHING on and feel right at home. It will be a great travel companion!

So glad it will be on it's way soon.....thanks Rob!

Here's the story I put up when I bought it initially....

I kept that Koa armrest I made and have slimmed it down a bunch too, I've had it on my Mcknight, but will put it back on the Taylor to cover the tan line.

Probably sounds a good bit better (maybe different) than the Washburn, but a WHOLE lot more healthy structurally!

Congrats on the triumphant return, cool guitar. Rob's certainly a stand up guy for selling back to you.

Thanks folks - this may well be my last purchase.

Time to start focusing on the music again.

Default That is Great

Congrats Todd but I think you maybe wrong on the last one. Even though I can't play as well anymore I still get the craving for a new guitar.
That monkey just never goes away, somedays I just hate that feeling, but what can you do right.
I have to stop looking in the classified.

Yeah - that "looking" thing can get you in trouble!
I'm working on that....

I haven't bought a guitar from them in about 15 years.....the internet has changed that a lot (as did acquiring my Charis and Mcknight/Poling!) I was thinking the other day it's probably been 5 years since I was there.

Time was I was down there once a month!
