Default Chicago Fretboard Summit, August 25-27

We have a pretty special guitar gathering taking place in just a couple of weeks. I wanted to make sure everyone knew about it.

The Fretboard Journal and Chicago's Old Town School of Folk music have partnered to create a Chicago Fretboard Summit. It takes place August 25-27, 2022.
https://fretboardsummit.org/exhibitors/

It'll be the Midwest's largest lutherie show with over 50 builders showcasing their guitars, including Mario Beauregard, Michael Bashkin, Maegen Wells, Bryan Galloup, Sam Guidry, Isaac Jang, and Ken Parker. We'll also have folks from Collings, Martin, SCGC, Henriksen amps, and other bigger brands on-hand.

Beyond the lutherie showcase, there are lectures, panels, and workshops on everything from archtops to vintage guitar collecting, playing, and more. We also have evening concerts with Molly Tuttle, the Milk Carton Kids, Fareed Haque, and others, after-parties, and tons of surprises planned.

It's basically a little Woodstock/Healdsburg, a little bit of the guitarist's take on TED talks, and a lot of fun. Hope to see some of you there.

What a great lineup. Nice to see an event like this in the Midwest.
Hope it proves to be very successful.

Thanks Mike! We definitely hope to make it an annual thing but I'm not sure we'll ever top this year's lineup! Hope to see some of you there.

A “little Woodstock” is an understatement—that line-up is killer!

Thanks. Not sure this lineup could ever be repeated. It's pretty incredible. Hope to see some of you there!
