Houston won both games of the doubleheader last night against the Yankees. It should be a great series against the Mariners. Not an Astros fan so I'll root with you in this one.

Red Sox / Blue Jays this week-end. Boston's 2 games back of the Jays so if they can win 2 or 3 they can cut that down to 1.

History made last night in Fenway as the Redsox were drubbed 28 to 5. Don’t think we will be adding any players at the deadline for a post season run.

Oh, Canada.

Oh, Canada.
28 runs... most the Blue Jays ever scored and the most the Red Sox ever gave up. Here's the kicker, Eovaldi started, our 2nd best pitcher. Duran had an easy out but lost the ball to give up the inside the park grand slam. How did he lose that? And then he didn't even chase down the ball.

Think about it... The Red Sox last three games they gave up 28, 13, and 14 runs. When they were on their big winning streak they were playing sub .500 teams. Now they're playing over .500 teams and losing.

When do the Patriots start up?

The Redsox look to be positioning themselves for a higher draft pick next year. Next thing you know, Bloom might trade J D.

Atlanta is too close for comfort behind my Mets! I think they have 6 games against each other, so they can seal their own fate(s).

I watched some of the Dodgers-Giants last night. There were lots of foul balls -- and a few fouls that would have been home runs. But the camera coverage did not typically follow the ball into the stands to see if a fan caught it or whatever. Why the heck not?? I want to see how the crowd handles that foul ball! But the cameraman typically pulls away! Why?? Are they concerned they might show someone getting hurt or hit in the head or something? I want to see the fan catching the ball in his plastic cup of beer! Or whatever!

Larry, they play 10 more times this season. For some reason the bats have fallen asleep.

Both of our teams were swept this week-end by teams they are directly competing with for a playoff spot. Boston's rookie starters are brutal.

Stunning. Pirates' player Castro slid into 3rd base and his cell phone came out of his pocket. The 3rd base coach didn't look impressed. Please tell me that this is the exception.

I'm sure he'll be talking to Mr. Manfred soon.

Perhaps I shouldn't be as critical as I am for a MLB's phone falling out of his pocket when sliding into a base but if I was his coach I would put him on the bench. I wonder how the local media and talk shows are reacting.
