Stunning and exceptionally clean 1978 Takamine F-455S Tree Of Life flat-top acoustic guitar. Spruce top with beautifully figured Jacaranda rosewood back and sides. Abalone “Tree of Life” inlays and binding, rosewood bridge with Abalone leaf accents, gold-plated Takamine stamped tuners. This model has a very similar vibe to the famed Martin D-45 and was famously used by Bob Dylan during his 1981 tour. Aftermarket pickup installed.
Been checked out & setup by local guitar tech. No issues such as bridge lifting or neck reset needs. No repairs, chips or cracks. Comes complete with a hardshell case. Only typical light scratches & swirling with one tiny indent (not thru to wood) on top. Takamine
S model is for solid spruce top. If not mistaken, this guitar has laminated back and sides, hence just a veneer of Brazilian rosewood over plywood on back and sides. Can you confirm or clarify?
