It's definitely not ugly! There's a MG 4.0XP sassafras/Engelmann model on the way, too.

Definitely not - it barely indents into the finish. The area is roughly the diameter of a Coke can. One of those "you can only see it at juuuuust the right angle" things.

2003 Merrill OM-28 Honduran rosewood/Carpathian spruce. Jim's guitars always want to float right out of my lap, and they have that perfect pre-war dry snap and sparkle.

2012 Ed Claxton EMc koa/Sinker redwood. All hyperbole aside - one of the best two or three guitars I've played. I can't say anything bad about this guitar.

2010 Bourgeois Custom Dread
Figured mahogany/Adirondack spruce $3495 Here's a delightful dread from Bourgeois. This one features a varnish finish, which enhances the response and volume, along with a beautiful set of figured mahogany. Add an Adirondack top and hide glue construction, and you've got a real monster of a dread. Has just been setup to a flatpicking height of 7/64" and feels great. Comes with original hardshell case. ![]() ![]()

1993 Larrivee D-09
Indian rosewood / Sitka spruce $1995 These 90's Larrivees hold up really well in today's market and represent a fantastic value for your money. This guitar is punchy and dynamic, with a slightly darker tint from the EIR. It has a great setup and feels nice and smooth. Comes with original hardshell case.

2008 John Mayes MJ-55
Indian rosewood / cedar $3195 These two MJ-55's are my first guitars by John Mayes in the shop, and I hope I get more! They both just knocked my socks off. They're open, airy, and dynamic, with a ton of response. This cedar model is just a tiny bit more rounded, with more color than the Adirondack model. Comes with original hardshell case.

2015 Pat Foster 0000
Indian rosewood / German spruce $2995 I hadn't heard of Pat Foster before receiving this guitar on consignment, but I'm glad that's changed! These guitars hold their own with anything in the mid-level boutique range, and for a reasonable price from an upcoming luthier. This 0000/M model has the range and dynamics of a jumbo while retaining the focus and clarity of an OM. Nice attention to detail, too - including a beautiful varnish finish. Comes with original hardshell case.

2015 Pat Foster 0000
Indian rosewood / Adirondack $2995 I'm glad a consignment customer introduced me to Pat's guitars. These fly under the radar, as Pat is still an up-and-coming luthier. But they represent a great value for the money, as they will compete with anything in the mid-level boutique world. I love the Adirondack with the varnish finish. As with the other 0000 in the shop, it has plenty of power while still staying focused and balanced. Comes with original hardshell case.

2010 Ken Franklin Concert
Indian rosewood / Carpathian spruce $2995 I've been wanting to try a Ken Franklin for a long time, and I finally got my chance! Boy oh boy, I didn't know what I was missing. Ken's guitars are really something special. It has that dynamic, snappy response that instantly puts a grin on your face, and soon you'll never want to leave your guitar room. Beautiful and unique aesthetic, too - Ken is a master. Comes with Ameritage case.
