Default Suction cups on the way.....

I'm going to try rigging a strap with suction cups to try to wean myself away from the footstool before I develop back pains. Expected delivery date is tomorrow.

good luck!!

If it doesn't work out, I might have a spare DeOro guitar support that I could loan you to try out.

I second the recommendation on the Deoro guitar support.

Thanks Dave, I'm using a non slip cloth now and I may not even need the strap as it feels pretty good right now.

Wait.....do you mean you are attaching a guitar strap to your guitar with suction cups and standing - letting the suction cups solely hold your guitar from smashing to the floor?

Classical, while seated. It'll fall a whole 4" into my lap...

How is the suction cup/strap support scenario going?

De Oro states on their main product page "not recommended for use on nitro-cellulose finishes".
That pretty much eliminates my guitars.

I've used my De Oro on my froggy Bottom guitar with nitro finish for years now. Left it on for weeks, never experienced any issues.

I believe that the concern might be with brand new finishes. 🤔🤔
