Girl from the North Country by Bob Dylan (cover)
This is a cover of "Girl from the North Country" based on Bob Dylan's recording on the 1969 album, "Nashville Skyline." Bob Dylan sang this song with Johnny Cash singing the lower vocal parts and both playing acoustic guitars. I thought I would give this a try, singing both the Dylan and Johnny Cash parts, though it's hard for me to have a good perspective about how well this works. Rockabilly69 (Daniel) in response to one of my recent threads in Show & Tell had suggested I should try a Dylan song, so I thought I would. This is a Dylan song I could always relate to, and I liked this particular chordal approach on the guitar. I hope you like this. The guitar is my Gibson Advanced Jumbo. I've got Martin PB light medium strings (0.0125" dia. high E) on the guitar. I tried dropping the tuning down a half step but I liked the song better at standard pitch. Thanks for watching... -- Glenn
