Default I dusted off the ol Lucero LC-100

Even though it sounds like a thin cigar box with rubber bands for strings, I had to get it out and tune it to standard. I have my Cordoba in Orkney and I'm just not one of those people that don't mind re-tuning from miles away,

I may have to pick up a second classical this year, not necessarily a big upgrade over my C5, with possibly a cutaway, just to have one in standard and the other in whatever my fits my current composing frame of mind.

I'm retiring this year and the thought of a retirement guitar has passed my mind several times, a cedar/hog or walnut flat top Furch, but the warm cedar sound I was searching for might be a classical guitar, not a steel string.

good luck on your search for a retirement guitar!

I've been retired for almost 5 years now... I've had my Froggy Bottom H-12 for 15 years now. It's all I need for steel string and the Cordoba C-12 that I just bought are my retirement guitars.

I was taking a look at the C-12 today online. I wonder if there is much of a difference with all solid classicals vs laminates as there is with steel flat tops.

There's a lot of discussion that the sounds laminated sides and back aren't much different than solid wood.

For my personal perspective, solid just sounds better to me.

I probably could have stayed with the Cordoba C10, but just wanted the elevated fretboard that the C-12 offered. It makes accessing frets 12-15 a little bit easier.
