Kind of a strange poll... When you say, "which do you prefer?" Do you mean for listening to a new track? Listening while working? I voted both are fine, but I guess I'm not sure what you're asking.

If you mean which do you prefer to see/hear when listening to a track to see how good the audio quality is, I prefer audio only. If it's just to showcase your abilities, either one is fine.

I voted both, too. I don't know if the question has a hidden inference (i.e. what you're asking)...but, I think our answers will basically show...our age, what we do with it, etc.

Example, if someone plays a complex piece, i'll want to see the video to learn what they're doing. Yet, if I just love listening to the tune...I don't want the extra video MB's eating up my iPhone's storage. So, my answer is really...it depends on the piece and my personal interest in it.

But, looking at the results to date...it's an interesting mix.

I'll make some assumptions...the ones wanting audio-only...just want to listen and most likely always on the go. The ones wanting video are out to study it and learn from every song. The ones that like both...do both. LOL...is that applying a psych degree I never got??? Baahaha

It's horses for courses. If you're interested in seeing how something is played technically or want to see a performance then video does it. If music is what moves you then all you need is the audio. I haven't yet found a way to satisfactorily record video of myself and am very envious of some of the results I've seen. (I voted audio only).
