I have heard it said that a clean shop is not a busy shop.

You go-bar rods looked like they wanted to attack the top. Grrrrrrrrrr...

Was the original back a 3 piece?

That will be the last top or back to be subjected to the Go Bar whipping room. Too many options that work as good/better and less chance of being attacked! I noticed 4 bruises on my arms yesterday! I can attribute all to senseless Go-Bar attacks!

The 6 peice back was originally a 5 piece back. full segments are 3" wide. I had thought about that back since I got the board a few years ago. The back rings like glass.

Ya, the shop was almost clogged and backing up. It was time to hit re-set! Don't worry, Neil is coming out tonight. The shop will be good and messy when he leaves

Well, I bent the binding. Made a new binding body cradle. It keeps the body level as you work into the binding cutter. The full size cradle I have was getting in the way of the cutter.
Today is Binding day. Sharp pencils and Caliper in hand!

Binding is on. Fingers are crossed. For 1 for luck. 2, because after all of the squeezing and taping I can't close my hands. OOOOOwwww.
Best its ever gone but still what a process.

I drilled this to remind me that random inlay is true art.

At first I thought I could just turn the grabbers around. It worked but the stands base was in the way of the cutter.

So, I made a smaller cradle. The extra nut holes are for the other Tenor. I borrowed the grabbers from the full size cradle set up (Blues Creek).

While the Super Glue hardened on the Cradle I started taping my binding down to bend it. Nope, didn't use water. 250 degrees was the highest I went.

Guitar shop Crop Circles.

I don't care who yelled at who...... KEEP OUT

I oopsed and did the side channel first, then the top channel. I should have gone the other way. Easier to control the bearing guides done the right way. No harm. Just moved slower. The Tile cutter and bit went through the wood effortlessly. I did about 4 passes.

1 taped down. 3 to go.

The tape is off!

The waist has always given me the hardest time. Got it this time!

The only major fail. I could dig and correct. Probably won't though, it will be covered by the trapeze.
Next is the end joint. Then Fret board. I have half of the fret board mapped out.

Today I cleaned the shop, again. Also, moved a few machines and tables for a more efficient workflow. I started "detailing the body. Made the rough bridge and saddle.
I dedicated one table to the Tenor neck and the Peach neck. The process of the harder Shellac on the Peach body is slow, great results are visible.
Things on the Tenor are slowing down. Due to some drying I can't mess with the neck for a few days. The Fret Board and bridge I can pick at for the next few days. The Peach is at a scheduled crawl due to drying process. The Oak Parlor is at a stop. Time to start the 2nd Tenor!

Hey, The Tenor doesn't have a name!
