Very interested to read your post as I've been researching and playing archtops to determine the best use of my $$.
I played some nice pieces in Nashville but fell in love with a Bravo Deluxe. I particularly appreciated the full scale on the narrower body a combination you don't see often, also liked the 1 3/4 nut width for those finger twisting jazz voicings. Went to Sadowski yesterday and played his 3 boxes and liked them but didn't love them. I never tried the push/pull on the Bravo and wonder how effective it is? Going to look around some more but suspect the Deluxe is in my future. Tough to buy an instrument like this without playing it, for a while, in a quiet room with a decent amp. |
