Installing magnets
Installing the magnets might be trickier than it seems. I had my luthier do it. Haven’t had any problems.

I dropped the guitar down lower and brought the neck up. Much better today. I have a chair with arms that we use for our desk and that is where I practice. The chairs is getting on in years and maybe I will replace it with arms that can be lowered or none at all as the left arm is in the way a bit. If I keep my left elbow raised I noticed that its a little easier to play plus I don't bump the chair arm while playing.
Work in process for sure.

I’ve had a neck up for about a decade and it’s been useful. I don’t use it all the time, but when I’m playing seated without a strap, it’s indispensable.

I have a Cordoba Fusion 12...To resolve this problem I bought a Fender/Levy 2" cotton web strap ( does not slip) , secured the lower bout end with a "strap-keeper device, the neck is held in place with a large clear plastic suction cup ( the type you see holding up stained glass window lightcatchers) attached on the treble side of the neck by the cutaway. Whole package costs about 20 dollars, weighs a few ounces, fits in the case pocket,...and works. I think the suction cup came off three times in the four years I have had the guitar. Holds the neck up high, no problems with lower back pain from using a footrest...and I dont have to carry that steamshovel "neckup" device.

I was willing to be a bit of a non-conformist, and I put conventional strap pegs on two of my classical guitars (end-pin jacks at the rear). Solves much of the problem of the guitar slipping around.

I've always had neck issues with using a strap and stopped using one years ago. Which is good, since I never play standing up.
The De Oro guitar support is my personal favorite. The Flamenco Loco model works nicely on my Cordoba and Froggy Bottom guitars. The suction cup spacing on the Flamenco Loco models are a little narrower in width and fit classical and OM sized bodies great. My De Oro supports are easily 6+ years old and the suction cups and leather straps look like new. I've never had a suction cup inadvertently release in all that time. There's a De Oro guitar support in each of my guitar cases Dave

Send me a private message if you ever want to try my spare De Oro support.
It works on either leg. Dave

Thanks for the offer Dave. We'll see how it goes with the strap.
