Hi guys, I have uploaded a video of myself playing "Tango Triste" by Per-Olov Kindgren on my Cedar / Indian rosewood Loriente Marieta guitar. Enjoy!

Thanks so much! I think this piece is great on the warm cedar top guitar!

That’s a beautiful piece, and it was very well played! You have a great sound.
Do I understand correctly that the music was written by Per-Olov Kindgren?
Good one to check out!

Thanks! Yes the composer is Per-Olov Kindgren. He is an extremely active guitarist on youtube, and writes really nice music!

Thanks for your tip on Per-Olov. I was able to get hold of the music for this piece, which you played so well.
Out of curiosity I tried to find out more about your Cedar / Indian rosewood Loriente Marieta guitar, like where they are built, and who sells them in the US, but there is surprisingly very little that turns up on the search engines. Other than a CGI listing out in CA, but that's it.
Seems odd, unless these guitars aren't popular around here. The tone has great warmth, as you ably demonstrated.
Is your model made in Spain by any chance? Not sure where you are located. Not after any personal data, I'm really just curious about US based sources for these.

I'm glad you enjoyed the piece! Thanks! The guitar was made in Spain by the company known as Loriente which is now actually part of same company that owns Cordoba guitars. I believe you can find these guitars at GSI occasionally.
For me it was a great bargain when I found this one used on Reverb. I lowered the action to the extreme so I lost a little tone from that but overall I really enjoy this guitar!
Cheers,
David

Nice music and nice performance! Thank you for sharing your video. I downloaded the sheet music.

About the piece, from the web site:

https://shop.per-olovkindgren.com/?p...te-sheet-music

After I heard of the terror attacks in Paris on the 13th. Nov. 2015 I went to bed but couldn't sleep. I got up at 3am and composed this and during the next day, I made the last touches and later the same evening, I recorded it.
It is sad that we cannot live in peace, love, understanding and respect regardless of religious and political views. We all are human beings. And we only have this one planet to share! Why not do it in the best way? With respect and love. I don't get it!!
Paris is “the city of cities” and I have spent many happy and wonderful days there with the woman I loved and it is heartbreaking to think of the innocent people that was out that evening enjoying the city and now are gone or wounded.
I hope I can communicate my sadness with this music.
