"Always be the worst player in your band..." (Pat Metheny)

I always thought the Ellington quote went like this:

"There are two types of music: good and the other one - and I like them both..."

"Any ending you can walk away from is a good one..." (Miles Davis, I think?)

"I think I took out 50' of guardrail with that last vocal..." (Shawn Colvin)

When my sister moved from the UK to Seattle, the car salesman said that over there they had two types of music - 'Country' and 'Western'.

Doesn’t make sense that he’d like the “other” type if he didn’t consider it good.

It’s shown as “There are two kinds of music. Good music, and the other kind” in these quotation sites:

Most sound (no pun inteneded) reasoning I've heard why we have G.A.S.

Combing through the Craigslist ads in search of a player to fill a void in a band, I stumbled over this gem...

"!!! WARNING TO MUSICIANS !!! I parked my car at SE 18th and Clinton last night, thinking I was going inside my house just for a moment. Fell asleep and woke up at 6am, realizing that I had left my accordion out in plain view on the back seat. Sure enough, someone had broken in and left another one!"

These are cool. What site did you get it from though? It's nice to acknowledge the person who pug these together.

I just made one up:
