Default Xavier Jara- Bogdanovic Sonata No. 3

I am not sure about the piece, but am impressed and sometimes moved by
this young guy's playing (in an unforgiving acoustic):

I saw him play it at the GFA last year--I like the piece as well as his playing.

Yeah, after making the original post I bought his CD, and now agree on both counts. Raphael Feuillatre is another one I now have my eyes on.

Edit: I see now that they both studied with Judicael Perroy, which is interesting.

Perroy has quite a track record with competition-winning students. Luckily for us Californians, he now teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory and performs recitals on occasion.
