Lowden s32 (SOLD)
1996 Lowden S32
Excellent + + condition (you will be blown away... nicer than most brand new guitars) 1 3/4 nut 25.5 scale Open to trades, send me your offers. Trade Value at 2900. It has really opened up over the years and is still in amazing condition. Very fingerstyle friendly. Have compared this guitar to a new S32 and mine was quite a bit louder and fuller sounding. The new S32 sounded a bit thin in comparison. Comes with original Hard Case Shipped and insured to lower 48 for 2700 Paypal FF Have done TONS of deals on AGF so buy with confidence. Will be professionally packed. Bear Last edited by Bear Davis; 09-17-2020 at 06:37 PM. |

There are many iterations of Lowdens unfortunately. There are ones George built, his factory built, built under license in Japan, built under license in Ireland and the current Lowden company. If youre buying you should know which I think.

At that time, they had dropped the iconic "dolphin" shaped bracing (with George Lowden's agreement) otherwise, they're the same as those built before 1991. They built about 1000 guitars a year which is what Lowden currently does now... Anyway, all iterations of Lowdens ARE true Lowdens, including those handcrafted in Japan in the Sadao Yairi workshop (though S5, G7 and G9 were laminate and simpliied to cut the costs). You certainly can find old Lowdens that don't sound like one could expect from the brand but most of the times it's due to the way they have been played (or not!), stored, taken care of. I own a high-end "Japanese" Lowden I couldn't let go and two "recent" ones, all great sounding guitars very well built... And I bought a Sheeran too that's amazing for the price I don't know the seller nor the guitar but for sure, if somebody's looking for a small Lowden, this one is worth a try.

Thanks JAMKC and Bear Davis, always happy to help
I should have added there's a difference between this S (Small) and the current ones, and it's the scale: standard on this one, reduced on those built since January 2004.

Several trade offers a local trade offer for a beautiful McAlister OM but I would prefer to sell for the moment.
Price reduced to 2700 shipped to AGF'ers No disappointments here folks. This guitar is in unbelievable shape, low action with stock saddle heights. |
