Jeff, I don't know these guys but glad you turned me onto them. I hear a definite Larry Coryell/Chick Corea influence.

Have to say that I far prefer Black Light Syndrome - Stevens is such a melodic player whereas I find Machacek very hard to listen to for long periods; his solo album "24 tales" is a real challenge.
And Terry Bozzio is, well, Terry Bozzio. You either love him or hate him, but there's no mistaking his style and/or sound for anyone else. Technically great players for sure, but not keeping my attention the way Stevens or Holdsworth would. Cheers, Steve |

I like Black Light Syndrome better too. Bozzio, Machacek, O'Hearn are great players but how do you listen to that. Theres a word that comes to mind that seems to fit what they are doing. I had an original Steinberger at one time but it had no trim. A very awkward guitar to play but very fast. I much prefer strats.

I quite liked it. Got about half way through then it was time for bed. I'll have to remember to come back to it later.

I like this one from Patrick O'Hearn--a superior piece of music:

I've got lots of O'Hearn's music; great stuff for driving through the desert!
The Eldorado CD was especially nice in Anza-Borrego. Love this song:
