Wow, that was very well done, Glenn. The D-35 sounds great and I enjoyed the harmonies.

Nice work!

It was excellent, great playing, great singing, and great recording work as well.

Just stumbled on this one Glenn, as it rolled back up to the top. Wonderful job, and love the job you did with the voices.
Helps that this song is one of my favorites, and you more than did it justice!

Very nice rendition, Glen! I particularly like the way you 'work around' the intro. I have always wrestled with it, but you showed me a very elegant solution.

Hi Charlie,

Thanks for watching and thanks for your comments. I'm glad you felt that this came out okay.

I wondered if anyone would comment on the intro. Yes, I have certainly simplified the intro, but I tend to not be terribly interested in overly complex answers to music. This is the intro I heard from the record 48 years ago before anyone spent so much time on how the intro was really constructed.

It's like all the discussion that has gone into the opening chord of "A Hard Day's Night." What the Beatles actually played may well be more complex than what I play based on modern Fourier analysis, but I can't hear the difference. And if I can't hear the difference, I wonder how many other people can't hear the difference.

I'm glad my opening provided some insight for you Charlie! That's cool!

Most excellent! I genuinely enjoyed that.

Interesting, I have been playing this song since my college days in the 70's, and never knew there was an extra verse, so when you started singing it I wondered what in the world you were doing. Looked into it and now have another entire verse to learn and play - how cool is that.

Nice job . . really nice.

Hi spock!

Thanks so much for your comments and for watching!

Actually, that new verse (..."Now the years are rolling by me...") is new for me, too! The original recorded version from "The Bridge Over Troubled Waters" album has a verse at that location where a flute is played for the verse. I believe that when Simon & Garfunkel did their "Concert in the Park" performance, they substituted this new sung verse for the flute solo. Since I am not a flute player, I thought, hmmm..., maybe I should sing that new verse, as well. So that is how I decided to use that new verse.

I appreciate your comments very much!

It took you 48 years but you nailed it. Well done.

Hi RPE!

Thanks so much for your comments! It's great to know you are watching and listening! And yes, after 48 years this is the first time I have ever done this song with harmony, more like Simon & Garfunkel actually did it! So you are right!

Thank you!

- Glenn
