Great job Glenn. I don't know how I missed this one. The 12 sounds excellent!

It's always good to know you are listening! Thanks for your comments! And I'm very pleased that you like how this came out! I must say, I am rather partial to the sound of this Guild F512 myself, so I am very glad you enjoyed it, too! - Glenn

Hey Glenn,
Thanks for posting that...Read above for how I feel about it, I will just ditto everyone else to save time haha! Being a huge JD fan, I have always been attracted to the Guild 12 strings and yet even though I have a few guitars, I do not have one yet. I think you have me searching for a 512 now although I have heard they are all good. I think JD had a 312 for a long time???? I could be wrong, model numbers are not my strong suit. I just wonder if I should look for a 70's era model or a new one like yours? Any thoughts? Thanks, Tom

I have owned a 12-string since I was 18 years old. I had a Harmony H1270 from 1966 until I traded it in for a Guild F212 in 1975. The 1972 Guild F212 in recent years was right on the edge of needing a neck reset. In fact, it would be easier to play if it had a neck reset. I gave it to my oldest son in the last year since I was no longer playing it after I purchased the used 2014 Guild F512. My own feeling after worrying about the neck reset on the 1972 Guild is that a newer one has less risk of needing a neck reset. The 2014 F512 has great action and is a joy to play compared to the older '72 F212. So my own prejudices were toward getting a more recent vintage F512. A lot of people have commented that the older Westerly Guilds were better somehow, but my F512, one of the last ones made in CT, is really perfect in terms of build. It is solid as a rock and put together beautifully. I feel extremely lucky to have it. Used late model Guild F512 models do come up for sale from time to time. I was watching Reverb a lot, but actually the one I bought came up in the AGF Classifieds. He asked for a reasonable price so I just did it. Regarding John Denver's Guild 12-strings, I know he had an F212 when he did his first album ("Who's Garden Was This") but I think he soon managed to get an F512, then later a custom F612. But I am hardly an expert on John Denver 12-strings. I lost track in there as he became more successful. Best of luck to you on this quest, Tom! - Glenn

The intro/verse chords are divine. Impressive simultaneous playing and singing.
