Yep. That's the way it played out for me. I lost the Tony Lama's but found some nice Boa skin boots at a store in Tucson.

You know - Disco was big when I was a kid...maybe 7 years old...So I don't have a real feeling for it either way...and find the Bee Gees falsetto vocals really funny

I was playing trumpet at that point and the music in the house was usually my dad's jazz. It was in 1985 when I started playing guitar and getting into other music. And the '80s is a whole different ballgame ;-)

Incidentally, I found out recently that a friend of mine was the drummer on some early Disco recordings by Vicki Sue Robinson (Turn The Beat Around), George Pavlis & Dan Pickering. I hadn't heard of any of them until he came clean and mentioned it (it's funny because he's really just an old hippie - I never would have pegged him for playing on those).

I wasn't at the time. But with the modern EDM and all, disco has aged pretty well. A lot of it, anyway. Don't think I'll ever find a way to like "I'll Always Love My Mama."
